2021 Year in Review

I started 2021 saying that it was going to be the year of getting stuff done. I was wrong. I overestimated the amount of free time I would have, and how divided my attention was with all the different projects I had started. While I didn’t finish anything I am happy that I accomplished a lot.

I got a physical version of my board game for testing. The artwork turned out to work great and the services of www.thegamecrafter.com were really helpful. With the physical prototype I was able to bring the game to a wider audience for testing and get more feedback. More blogs on this project are coming soon.

In 2021 I got to go on a bunch of great trips all over Washington and beyond. I visited the Pacific coast, the tallest mountain in the state, and the volcanoes of the Oregon cascades. All of these trips allowed for some awesome photo opportunities; sunsets, waterfalls, mountains, lava fields, glaciers, and eagles. Expect blogs about each of these trips coming soon and many of the best photos added to my gallery.

One of the things I was most proud of in 2021 was how much process I made of my book. The Book of Retallion, I’m considering new titles, was fully revamped and restarted. I finished the revised map of the world, created 64 pages of notes, and filled out a spreadsheet with every scene I needed for the book. 376 in total. All of the scenes have been detailed out and have been used to write farther into the story than I have ever been before. I’ll be going over my process, progress and details of the setting and story in future blog posts.

If there is anything you would like to learn more about please leave a comment and I’ll try to address it in the next blog post. Have a wonderful year ahead!
